Truck and Trailer Mechanic (full-time year-round)
Summary
The Truck and Trailer Mechanic at Cape Bald Packers is responsible for the garage for the company and is a member of the maintenance team. The job includes doing diagnostics and repairs on heavy-duty trucks, trailers and buses for the company, and ensuring parts are readily available as required.
Job Duties
- Diagnosis and repair of the mechanical and electrical components of heavy-duty trucks, trailers and buses
- Drive the vehicles for testing purposes
- Maintain parts / inventory for repairs
Requirements
- Apprentice or Licensed Truck and Trailer Technician
- Valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
- Mechanically inclined and able to use power tools and hand tools
- Able to work individually and as part of a team
